Aimée Adriaansen (b. 1998) is an Amsterdam-based artist whose practice is rooted in material sensitivity and a deep appreciation for process. Within her work, she allows room for coincidences to emerge, embraces the inherent properties of the materials she uses, and cultivates imperfections. Her monochrome and subtle works derive their strength from simplicity and modesty. At the heart of her work lies a tension between presence and absence, between inner gesture and outer silence.
